I will outline the journey over the past year while working to integrate a one-to-one iPad program with interactive materials and textbooks to a very unique group of students and teachers. During this session, I’ll share the in’s and out’s of our work in order to provide other educators looking to create their own interactive materials and textbooks a quality experience with their students.

We tested and worked with many, software solutions, editors, and Apps till we found the solutions for embedding interactive learning activities, assessments, and projects into our online textbooks, the needed instructional changes for engaged student learning, and the process for moving the created content efficiently onto the iPad without killing your district’s bandwidth.

The key points or goal are: Changing pedagogical methodologies, policies and practices for the use of engaging interactive created materials needed for integration of the iPad into the classroom through the use of Interactive Materials, Copyright and Fair Use, Ck12.org, iBook Author, .ePub, iTunes U, Book Creator, eBook Magic, and Content Providers: HMH-fuse, Course Smart, and Inkling.
